I have never done it. It is so hard for me to buy something anyways let alone justify in my head a purchase of ammo for a gun I dont own. Ammo prices keep going up up up, may not be a bad thing , I am looking for either a 9 mm or 38

I don't know about buying but I found a box of .25 auto in my garage a while back. I have no idea where it came from as I have never owned a .25 auto and don't plan to buy one.

    No.

Not that I would not, but I just don't have the funds. But I do have enough pistol ammo to last me till the end of 2008 (not including .22 LR).

    I did worse than that.
At the range I found a full box of once fired .44 Spl. brass scattered in front of one firing position.
That was enough to prompt my purchase of a Bulldog.

This is kind of a funny for me, today I was looking at prices of .223, because I got that AR lower coming.

Federal 100 round pack @ Wally World last week. $39.79 I think.

I have some 9mm subsonic ammo that has been sitting around for 15+ years and it will be digested through my AR pistol that should clear in November.

If I get my butt in gear, I'll have a bunch reloaded by then too.

Not only Ammo (I had one spam can ak74 stuff before I had the gun) but I have also picked up Magazines and accessories when I happened to spot them for guns I intended to get. I had three M14 Mags long before I had one.

Ammo, nope. But I ordered and waited 6 months for a Milt Sparks pocket holster for my Kahr PM9. Holster arrived nearly 6 months ago. Got the PM9 last Friday .

Shotgun ammo is a great thing to stockpile, get all you can! Didn't see, did you mention which shotgun you're getting?
ETA, used to be partial to Ithaca (still love 'em!). But I finally warmed up to Remmington (after 15 years or so) and have an 870 HD that is pretty cool. Mounted a single point sling, a Big Dot tritium front sight and a TLR-1 light on the tube.... plus a Wilson follower and spring. It'll do the do if called to action.

The 870 Express HD 7+1. I'll more than likely swap out the forend to the tactical. I don't think I can beat it for $300.

I started stocking up on 9mil about six months before I got my Glock 19.

Heck, I even bought twelve 15 rounds mags and two 33 round happy sticks for the darn thing long before I got the gun.

Gave me extra incentive to actually buy the thing.

    Wink It's The LAW

    Hello All,

The simple answer to the question is YES.

Ya'all didn't know that if ya got a full box of ammo in a cal. or ga.

that ya don't have a shootin' iron in, Ya HAVE TO go out and

git one....It's THE LAW! (that's what I used to tell my 1st wife)

My Soul Mate ( wifey #2) buys guns quicker than I do. (Shoots better

    than me too).

    Safety First...Keep your groups tight,

    mM
