    S&W 1076 - Owner's opinions?

For those of you who own these ol' 10's, would you mind sharing your experience with them? Things you liked, things you didn't like, how it shot compared to other guns you've shot, etc.? I have too much on my plate to buy one any time soon (next firearm MUST be either a .22 of some kind or a compact 9mm for deep CC duty), but they look like one of the best offerings in 10mm short of the Glock 20. Nothing at all against Glocks, I'll probably own a 19 by this time next year, but I love the feel of all-steel guns and if fortunate enough to procure a 1076 it would probably be relegated to open carry around the house, if carried at all.

Its a huge gun... I would never CC it, but I'm sure it could be done. It is a pleasure to shoot though.

I had a 1066, I didn't care much for it. It had fixed Novaks that were waaaay off, and the trigger left a lot to be desired.

If you want an all-steel 10mm, I'd recommend the Witness Match.

15+1 capacity, and a sweet SA trigger. I have one, it's an incredible pistol for the money.

1066/76 is a great gun. easy shooting and accurate. It can be concealed, you just have to know how.

I carried a 1076, concealed, as a duty weapon with one of my former agencies. It could be carried quite comfortably with the proper holster and belt. I also carried one as my personal CCW for about a 6-month period recently. Absolultely love the pistol. Shoots like a dream. The only reason I got rid of it was that I did not want to maintain ammo for a single 10mm pistol. Great gun.
