    Woohoo! New guns!!!

Ok, not quite yet, but soon. I've decided to reenlist in the Corps, and with that comes a substantial bonus. I'm going to invest most of it, pay off my debt, and buy some guns. I'm going to get a Kimber Pro Carry II stainless, a Remington 700...haven't decided which one exactly yet, a scope for it, and a .22 to plink with. I'll also be getting stationed in Quantico, so unlike CA, I can have my guns and shoot them too. I'm excited!

Glad ya got yours before the size of bonuses go down, which the scuttlebutt says will be soon, at least that is what I have been hearing. But congrats anyways, hope ya milked that re-enlistment contract for all it's worth.

Quantico is supposed to be a darn good duty station too. I've already got some of my tax free pay set up for a few purchases while I'm home.

Any ideas for calibers on the 700? .30-06? .308 (try to make your own M-40?)

Thanks for reenlisting! I put half of my $60K reenlistment bonus in a high yeld savings account and used the other half to pay off debt...i.e. two cars. Life is great not having any car notes. Just think I can buy a gun every month and still not spend more than the two notes. Congrats again and stay safe!

I'm probably going to go .308. Not going the M40 route though. It's already got a hogue stock, so not really any reason to get a McMillan. I've also never used an Unertl scope, but I know I like leupolds. I might though. I've already got an M4gery with an ACOG.
