    New Palm Pistol (merged)

Got a link from a local LEO for this. It came in as a "look out for this" email, but also as a "looks pretty cool" email. To be honest, I'm thinking about dropping a deposit on one. Your thoughts? Talk me into or out of it?

    Interesting.

The weak side though is that it's just a single shot.

An interesting novelty, but I can't view it in a positive light.

Looks like an inhaler or enema. . .for use with a bad guy. You could open carry no problem.

Well, crap. Yeah, I would be inclined to put money down on one, however...

If production isn't shipping until next year, and with Buttcrack still being a real possibility, I could see an AOW Ruling being issued about 30 days after they are shipped. Recipients either ante up the $500 tax stamp (that can be increased overnight too, BTW) or they forfeit their $325 pistola. Sends a nice, clear message to manufacturers and gunowners, and is easily supported as a "cop-killer" in the mainstream idiocy.

Edit to add: I'm strongly opposed to the nay-sayers, here, this is an extremely viable piece of kit, far more easily controlled than the usual derringer, cannot be take OOB in the tangle, and certainly more "attention grabbing" than a knife(on the recipient's end.) Without having one to handle, the concept rates "dirty" enough to be attractive.

    No thank you.

Single-shot and about a 1/2" barrel.....prob accurate to no more than 3 feet max. I'll take 7 rounds of .380 with reasonable accuracy over one 9mm any day in about the same size/wt package.

I especially like the picatinny rail/laser capability.......

    Palm Pistol

I was more thinking for the collectability and novelty factor than for serious CCW by the way. Hadn't thought about the AOW thing.

If it were a copy of the old multi shot .22 palm pistol of the 1880s I would get one, especially in 9mm, but a single shot no way.

Now this one I like. French made 6mm ten rounds.

Not something I would use or carry...to odd to be left around and recognized by an Eddie Eagle rep.

I could see more children being prone to shooting themselves with this as well. Hard to identify right away as a gun and more likely to be a "what does this thing do?" tragedy

No thanks. And what do they mean by contact safeties? It won't fire if its muzzle is in contact with the BG? Or am I taking the wrong meaning of contact safeties?
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, "I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along." . . . You must do the thing you think you cannot do. Eleanor Roosevelt
