    New P-220R

Just picked up my first Sig today, a NIB P-220R DAK, for about $750.00 after taxes and background fees. After I was done fonding it I got curious about what the "R" in P-220R stands for. I checked the Sig website and did a search here with now luck. Any help?
The price seemed to good to pass up as I've been wanted a .45 Sig with their DAK trigger for some time. Did I get a decent deal?

Thats what I thought but all the pictures on Sig's website seemed to have a rail but no "R" in the model.
    Thanks for clearing that up.

That's a good deal. I love the DAK. It takes some time to get use to, but with anything else practice makes perfect.

That's awesome! I love my P220R-45-TSS-SAO. The DAK would be my second choice over the DA/SA action since I'm mainly a Glock guy at heart. Anyway....in case nobody has told you before.......................

I do believe that the Sig 220 is one of the top and finest combat pistols ever produced. I had my choice of duty pistols a few years ago... I carry a P220 daily.

Thanks for the pic 1713! Got to say....I like the bobbed hammer on that one. Good luck with the holster shopping.

Very nice! I noticed it has the short trigger.

I was looking around Sig's website and learned that I can send in for a $100 rebate. Hadn't heard about it before but many of their handguns qualify if purchased anytime in 2008 by a "first responder" or active/retired military. (including 90 days from discharge) Here's a link if anyone wants it:

Placed an order with UBG hoslters. I already have two Strikers, one for a SW642 and the other a Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec. Both are impressive, especially for the price.
