I picked up a 870 combo 20 gauge for my son. His first shotgun that will be "his" so I'm pretty stoked.
I used to get exited just anticipating the reactions of my two boys when I bought them various guns over the years. I honestly couldnt tell you who was more exited....me or the one getting the gun....

Well i,m jealous of all of you that get guns this year. I have asked my Grand Daughter in florida to visit the Randall Knife shop in Orlando and pick me up a toy she thinks I might like. I don't see my Son or Daughters buying me a gun though. The all think I have too many as it is. Happy Holidays to all.

I might sell/trade one of my Colt1911(series 70's) in on another Kimber. Have a hankerin' for a Socom 16 also. A new gunshop opened in our area and every time I set foot in there, allot of voices call to me. Especially from the "black gun" side of the store. They have a slightly used Wilson Combat that has wispered in my ear. Will see if they will let me take it to the range for a "test drive" after the first of the year. ---------

I'll bet Rfurtkamp has something he can ascribe to (blame on) Xmas as too I bet will Class3NH LOL.
Funny you should mention that. I'm at the shop now, open for another couple hours debating if I *need* a Christmas gun. :)

We'll see - I'm ambivalent right now as there's nothing jumping out at me and I'm still playing with my Vector V51.

Here's what I got for myself

    Marlin M1894CS in .357

Incidentally, anyone know the difference between an M1894CS and M1894C?

When I bought this I thought it was a C, got it home and saw CS on the barrel.

Can't help there Robb - my Marlin has neither on it - just (******!) ''Micro groove rifling''!

Doesn't actually phase me Bud - heck darn thing shoots good but usually feed it Magtech.

Thing is - all my shooting career have reloaded for about anything I shoot and - just lurv my 250 Kieth SWC's for that cal - but don't have a bigger sizing die to make bigger bullets, which I'd have to if putting them down micro rifling.

In fact doubt the std Lyman mould will cast much more than .430 and of course normal sizing die is .429.

No biggie really - only gets casual use and so factory ammo it will be.
