    Best ammo for Glock .40

Hi guys, I'm new here. I should have my Tn license in a few weeks but to get to the point, I have 2 Glocks 22c and 23. I have heard that the Glocks can be sensitive to the ammo used. Any recommendations from some of you pros out there>
Thanks for any advice you have.

As long as its jacketed, your Glocks will eat anything you give them.

My preference would be .40 cal

Seriously though most any of the major manufactures (Winchester, Remington, CCI, Federal, for a few) ammo should work for you. Try out a few brands at first to make sure your gun likes it, before stocking up on it. Defensive loads, I personally like Winchester Silvertips and the Federal HST. I've gotten away from the Silvertips recently due to the cost of them. At close to $50.00 a box versus $22.00 for the HST.
Once again make sure your gun will shoot them reliably before stocking up on them.

So long as you're not shooting lead in the Glocks...they are not finicky.

I own a G22, and I shoot ammo from walmart (Remington) FMJ, never have any problems. I also have Federal Hydra-Shok for home defense. No problems there either.

I do not shoot any reloads in my glocks, if I am not mistaken my manual advises against them. Other than that I have never had any ammo give any trouble in my glocks. Like the others said shoot jacketed ammo in them and you can shoot anything you want.

    For practice: WWB, Wolf, etc.

For carry: Corbon (DPX or PowerBall), Winchester Ranger-T, or Speer Gold-Dot

If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.

For practice, CCI Blazer 180. For carry the Glock recommended Speer Gold Dot in 180 grain.

I had issues with Winchester "Winclean". Its cheap FMJ ammo which has no-lead primers. About 1 or 2 out of each box will just not fire. No issues with any other ammunition. As carry ammo, I use Federal HST or Hydra Shock.
