    9mm, .45, .40 END of the debate?

Now, I know what you're thinking (maybe ) - BUT THIS IS NOT A DEBATE TOPIC.

With the draft of the possible gun ban being released, the big part of that is the section dealing with service calibers. Here's an exact copy of one of the paragraphs (of MANY):

`(L) A semiautomatic rifle or shotgun originally designed for military or law enforcement use, or a firearm based on the design of such a firearm, that is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, as determined by the Attorney General. In making the determination, there shall be a rebuttable presumption that a firearm procured for use by the United States military or any Federal law enforcement agency is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, and a firearm shall not be determined to be particularly suitable for sporting purposes solely because the firearm is suitable for use in a sporting event.'
    - This includes virtually 9/10 of the weapons current Americans own. And almost ALL of the 9mm's, .40's, and .45's.

So, is the debate over? Is the true answer - to buy a .500 magnum?

LOL! You may start pandemonium and a market trend with this one! That wouldn't be a bad idea actually...maybe everyone will go to buying the .357, and 9mm, 40S&W, and 45acp will be priced like in the late nineties?

That's in the AWB legislation that's been shelved until after the election.
IIRC the Bill was posted somewhere in here, but I can't find it. I thought I had it somewhere in my archives, but I can's locate it. I'll keep looking. I remember reading it originally in Outdoor Life's blog - that prompted me to find the source document and, as Murphy's Law happens, my find is missing!
