Joe the Plumber CCW?
What do you think would have been the fallout if the investigations of Joe the Plumber would have turned up that he held a concealed weapons license? Lord forbid, what if while he was talking to Obama he had actually been carrying a loaded CCW? Would this have been good public relations, (see a CCW holder can meet a candidate and no one is the wiser, he didn't harm anyone) or would it have been twisted, and how?
But if you are authorized to carry a weapon, and you walk outside without it, just take a deep breath, and say this to yourself...

I don't think it would make any difference at all. He didn't do anything dumb or act like an idiot, so what is the big deal. Did Gov Huckabee's having a CHL give him particularly any good or bad press because of it, no.
If your not doing something that gets you bad attention, then I don't think it is going to give you bad press.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Anyone checked to see if he does have a permit? As far as if he had one and was carrying, who would know? He'd be an idiot to answer the question if the press asked him. As long as he was not carrying in a prohibited location it's none of their business.

NObama should consider himself lucky he didn't show up at Havegunjoe's house. He would have gotten a real ear-full and I would have then sent his Socialist butt down the road. The media would have gotten a real sound-bite from me. Also I always answer the door armed.

I'd have a few sound bites for the media too, about the media....

I would still applaud your efforts though...

Where do they or anyone get off delving into the private life of a citizen for having an "Opinion" that differs with the great NObama? We aren't a socialist country yet.

Yeah, evidently three Ohio govt computers were used in getting info on Joe.
Look for a lot more of this if he gets into the office. If you speak out against, you'll be investigated, shut down, or find out you've done something illegal or the like.
Makes me think of Russia, Venezuela, N Korea, Spain under Franco, etc., and the things that go on in those places.

I hate everything Obama has proposed, but let's not get carried away with abuse of power. He didn't originate it and he won't be the last. Looking into your past present and future has always been a tactic of the people in government who want to intimidate others. Hoover was a famous agent for the presidents and others in power during his term at the FBI.
The real disturbing part of it is the media's playing along. They are so far in the pocket of the left wing they are indistinguishable.

He can look all he wants at my background. Once when buying a gun through a friend with an FFL he let me listen to the FBI check person. They literally said "Hold on while we check, you can give him the gun" in one breath. My friend said you must really be boring to have it approved that fast. I told him I was and I intend to keep it that way.

How sure are you of that?
We're already there...we're not at the threshold...we've already stepped over it and our back foot is on it's tiptoe just barely still outside the door.
