    Steel or Lead?

Now that Obama is the President-elect, if you had a limited budget (I definitely do), would you buy another gun, or would you stock up on ammo? I think my feeling is to stock up on ammo. I have a couple of high-quality handguns, and while I'd like to have more, I think ammo will be most vulnerable to to excessive taxation/regulation in the short term.

At this point it may be too late for either. We will probably very quickly move to post-ban pricing of pre-ban items, even if they are being sold new for the first time. The time to buy 'assault weapons' was last year.

If you can find them, buy magazines and guns. I am not as worried about ammo.

BO is a 'smooth operator'. He won't do anything in an instant...but he will react to some panic or misfortune that may take place during the next year or two.

After seeing some of the anti-ammo stuff that he has talked about, that you folks pointed out, I just ordered as much ammo and as many magazines as I can currently afford.

At this point, yes, I'm a bit panicked. I'm really glad I bought my AR last year.

Ive started stocking up on Ammo as well, currently sitting at 2000 rounds of 9mm, hopefully be upto 5000+ before mid next year.

My main driver is the falling US\NZ dollar, but am concerned about policies over there in the US that will drive up prices here.
