What was your very first gun?

Do you still own it? Memories? Pictures.

Mine was a Remington 22 model 514 single shot bolt action. It taught me to shoot straight. Still one of the straightest shooting guns I've ever shot.

I purchased at the local hardware store it with money I earned collecting pop bottles at the age of about 10 without my parents even knowing what I was up to.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures. I'm not a photographer, obviously.

A D.O.D. military surplus M1 carbine sent directly from the Rock Island Arsenal that cost $16.00. Had to be a NRA member and it came in a paper bag that the postman was glad to get rid of since the cosmoline had worked its way through the paper and messed up anything it came in contact with..

I couldn't wait till our annual family vacation when we drove upstate to my uncle's house in Stuyvesant Falls NY so I could try it out. (I lived in Brooklyn at the time).

Sold it many years ago and still kick myself for doing so.

Beretta 92fs. 3 years ago bought it brand new, blued with 15 rd mag. HAd it for 2 weeks and was underage so waited for dad to take me to the range, aso before you ask it was a legitamite buy...dad bought it. Well when we were leaving to go to the range i pulled it out of the case and the barrel and frame were rusted. Called the dealer and he said never heard of it. took it to him agreed it was rust and took it back. Got the G19 and made $100 on it to cuz the 19 was $400. Still wish i had it but never even shot the dang thing. oh well it on my list of future purchases.

My first gun was a Ruger 10/22, unless BB guns count then it was a Crossman.

Marlin Glenfield model 65C. 22lr...I was ten years old, it was my birthday and Christmas gift (what usually happens when your birthday falls a week before Christmas). I had it up until about six years ago. Traded it in on my forst of two Ruger 10/22 Target models.

A Harrington-Richardson 9-shot .22LR pistol. Had it for almost 35 years and sold it about 8 years ago...I have regretted it ever since.

Mine was a Remington Mohawk 10C, 22lr, semi auto, 5 rd clip. I got it when I was about ten, still have it today at 39. Will quite possibly pass on to one of my three sons...

Remington 870 with slug & turkey barrels. Traded it in towards my first handgun. I don't really miss it that much. I use my handguns way more than I would have ever used the shotgun.

Mine was a sweet little Remington .22 pump. The first pistol was a .22 Colt Woodsman and the first shotgun was a Stevens 410 gauge bolt action. They are all long gone but easy to remember.
