The reason why I am asking is this: Obama said something about banning semi-auto guns, well does revolver fall in semi-auto category?

He/they could see them as the same in function- not in mechanical function but in the fact that they both prepare the gun to fire the next round.

An interesting view and technically they are in fact different by mechanical function as noted above.

Although for all intents and purposes I bet the following would cause Obama, Biden, Pelosi & Assoc. to quake in their shoes...

    OMG!!! Machine gun!

Yep, Jerry Miculek is a pretty proficient shooter of a revolver. Would any of you like to face him with your semi auto?

But to answer the OP's question, no, it should not be considered a semi auto, at least not with the normal shooter.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

I believe that he shoots a S&W revolver with a tad bit of work on it. Ok maybe a bit more than a tad, but he does shoot for a living.
