    He probably put it to his head and pulled the trigger or something, thinking that it wouldn't hurt him because it "isn't a real gun".

    I'm kinda shocked that a blank-firing gun would be allowed in a school with the way schools are nowadays.

    This reminds me of the Concealed Carry class that I attended just a week or two ago. At one point the instructor brought out a blue plastic gun replica and made sure to keep it pointed towards one of the ballistic panels that he had set up and not to sweep the class with it.

    He said, "I know it's just a plastic gun but I want to emphasize the importance of ALWAYS ALWAYS following the four rules of gun safety."

    I hope people involved learn the correct lesson from this which is guns should always be treated with respect, and not "guns are evil".
