Another nice thing about STS is you can preform your own bevel job without having to refinish.

    You lost me somewhere OD.
Is there any rerason that you didn't do as much rounding on the one you did as I did on mine? I would go a little and try it in the holster, then go some more till It felt like it went in and out smoothly.

Sorry for the confusion Bruce, I was referring to posting to you about doing a de-horn job, shortly before you started your thread.

Not really sir, I just prefer the "melted" style instead of the beveled style. I don't really do mine for holstering as such, but for manipulation (clearance drills etc.), the new CNC'ed Colt's can really slice your hand practicing a stove-pipe clearance drill.

I understand you completly Bruce and Chris...........I just meant a little lore...........like anout a .020-.030 radius on the edges.........that's really not very much..........justt enuf to smooth and round the edges on the side etc...

OK Bruce, you've inspired me. If you have the beans to do your whole 1911, I'm going to go hit the slide release on my K9. Everything else is fairly smooth, but I could use that sucker to slice tomatoes (and my thumb). Nice job on the Commander.
