hey there..
i'm looking into buying an AR soon- before our (as i've heard it said before) Socialist-in-Chief:nono: gets into office. what's a good one to buy at a reasonable price? say- under $1000?
Use with caution - the author assumes that the Government is the only standard by which you should measure. For example: He recommends a Gov't profile barrel. Unless you've got a 203 why get an M4 profile? Or why get an hbar for a semi auto? Consider your use before deciding which recommendations are important.
For your budget I like RRA for a complete rifle. Or you may be able to get an assembled lower from RRA and an upper from Sabre pretty close to your budget. Maybe.
Check out AR15.com Tons of info and quality dealers. I bought a RRA from legal transfers and had a great experience. The RRA is top quality and a to of fun to shoot.
Our department has Bushmasters, me and a couple of officers just ordered (and received)the S&W M&P15T, They are not available anymore so now some of the guys are going to Rock River.. I have a buddy who has one and he loves it.
