My husband saw the same ad & visited Academy..... reports it is the 2nd generation. He's interested in carrying something less bulky than the XD9SC. I'm not so sure about this Taurus....... guess the price is good, but........... firearms purchased at Academy are not returnable, if you don't like the way they shoot.

Thoughts I should consider before they are all gone? (I have an XD9SC, too, but have yet carried it. I tried a SmartCarry, but had to wear my husband's jeans! Perhaps an OWB holster would work better for me. Otherwise, I've been lurking around Kahr firearms.)

NO Orlando the grips looks different other then that it's the same, I have posted a pic on a previous page on what mine looks likes. I belive the one that I have is a new look of the PT-111. Like I said earlier i called Taurus and he ran my numbers and he verified that this is the lates model.

Keltec P11. I love it. Nice shooter for sure. Weighs just under the PT if Im not mistaken even with the mag loaded and one in the pipe.

I bought my wife one as well. Mine is the Parkerized version and hers has the chrome slide.

Im gonna grab one of the OD green ones in the very near future since I put a down payment on it LOL

Had a small problem with the one I got for the wife but after 100 rounds and a buff and fluff it works great. I shot both yesterday and went through 100 rounds in mine with nary a hiccup.

I dunno, as far as the looks and the feel in hand goes, I give it 100%. I hope it operates as good as it looks. I was very surprize by the looks. I mean I didn't find any flash, the stamping was done very proffesionaly and even. The feel is right too.
The only minus is the mags. almost imposible to load even 8 rounds. I couldn't get 9'th round in it.... It should get better though.

I dont think the P11 is hard on the hands. I havent shot the PF9 yet. I just want it because I can have it and at a good price. Smaller than the P11 and only holds 7 rounds I think. Good BUG for me.

The P11 will be my EDC.
