Ok, last night I was talking to my friend and his wife, he said that he wants to get a gun but mean wife doesn't let him. So as I was trying to covience her I simply couldn't. She thinks that a person who ownes a gun is more likley to get in truble then people who don't have guns. She thinks that she's got more chances of surviving and living longer by not to defending herself
About 2-3 weeks ago some one posted stats about incidents of the registered gun owners. I think the stats were for 2007. Can some one post that sie again plz.
lol, tried that. But seriously I really want to changer her mind about the fact that there is no corolation b/n armed killings and legaly owned guns. I figured if I could show her some facts about the owners and shootings I would convince her.
Try overwhelming her with local crime reports first...give her something to think about...it worked with my wife.

I think you have abetter chance of getting her to going a swingers club than a gun club.
I think he should surreptitiously buy one and hide it. Then when the SHTF he can take it out to protect the family.
Preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse or Rapture....whichever comes first.
I've given up trying to "reason" with people whose logic is based on emotion. (To paraphrase another member here).
However, if you really felt like peeing up a rope, try asking her how not defending themselves worked out for the 6,000,000 Jews under Nazi Germany, or the 20,000,000 (?) Russians under Stalin, or the millions under Pol Pot, or the Chinese at Tienanmen Square, or... shall I go on?
Bitter and clinging to my guns and my religion.
Why not try asking for her sources?
Actually, don't do it. Like many people who are "generally anti-gun" (as opposed to people who are actively anti-gun), they just go by "what they heard," rather than hard facts and concrete, common sense logic.
I'd get a new wife if I was him.
