    PT145 issues

Been a long time (too long) since I've been to the range. First up was my MilPro PT145; Magazine full of Federal defensive ammo fed and fired just fine.
Switched to my reloads and about half of them failed to fire!
All had dents in the primers, all of the rounds that failed to fire in the Taurus went off first time when loaded in my Kimber.
I'm using mixed brass, win primers.

    Any ideas??
I'm a child of the 60's, but I got over it.

I have an older PT145, and I've had a few rounds do that too.
But I have no idea why.

Can you provide technical details of the rounds?
It is not "might OF", it is "might HAVE". It is not "could OF", it is "could HAVE". Go spread the word.

My 2nd generation DAO PT145 does not like hard primers...period. It just dents the hard primers on the White Box Winchester...kind of cheap ammo.

Find the right practice ammo for your PT145 and it functions every time. My carry ammo is 160 grain Corbon DPX. It is not a +P but gives dependable expansion and the copper bullets give good penetration.
It all comes down to going down the dark holes after monsters. Thatís what itís all about; when everyone else is huddled around the campfire, somebody has to go out and fight.

Mixed headstamp brass, 230gr LRN bullet, 5.0gr W231, Win. large pistol primers. This had been my standard plinking load for years.

Sounds like lite strikes on hard primers.
