Sigh... what's a guy to do? There is no cure for revolveritis.
need lots of moon clips though but fun
i was surpised that it recoiled at all i thought the heavy barrel would soak it up ..
I dont know why people complaine about recoil of the 45 its lightest recoiling round out there next too a 22
I got moon clips for sale too, they are Ranch products stuff including 1/3 moon clips. As my name tells you I love 25s, only own three but I will get more![]()
Hope to hear soon how your new gun shoots. I have had great luck with a target load in all the 45s I have ever shot but it takes cleaning after you shoot it. 5.6 grains of 231 behind a 200 gr lswc makes one hole at 25 yards![]()

Model 25- what kind of store do you have? I have a few 625's and 25's and...
Dave
lol Guess i should have type Standard 1911 load
Sigh... okay I bought it.
Okay Bud and others what goes well with it? How did the extra clips work out?
Euc - IIRC Bud got 100 steel moons for some very fair price.
I only have about 10 steels and a bunch of those plastic thingies for range use. The steels are way superior IMO because they hold rounds so tight - makes for quick load. You'll want a demooner for those ones tho - easy to make - even from 1/2" copper pipe.
I posted a pic of my stainless one a while ago - shout if you didn't see it.

Nope noty me chris i need to get about 100 moon clips though
Do you have to cut some sort of notch or the like in the tubing?
The one chris made is cool Euc but spend the 13 bucks for the brownells then but a remooner i got a all alum one for 30 bucks off ebay works like a charm saves your thumbs
Must have been Bud you just mentioned the moon clips.
Euc - here is mine - breeze to make, and as said copper pipe will do. Not as fancy maybe as a bought one but does job - I can flick my empties out real quick. Don't worry too much re dimensions - I just dimensioned mine for ref'.
