Looking at an Astra 1928 Broomhandle pistol

The local gunshop has an Astra Broomhandle pistol. I'm looking for ANY opinions. I've heard some negative things about Astra so I don't know if the $1000 price would be worth the cost

I have one Astra from the same era and it exhibits fine workmanship and gives reliable function. I've owned other Astras in the past and all were good. Astra is defunct now and more's the pity. I've long admired several Astra models. The Astra Broomhandle is fairly scarce. I'm thinking most sell for more than that. Check out any listings that might be on Gun Broker.

I am a little worried about getting ammo for it if I decided to get it. I don't know where the Denero would come from for the pistola, but I am really lusting after it after I was able to handle it tonight.
