Are those gun shows limited to certain people, they look pretty up scale. The gun shows I went to are at the State Fair and pretty run down. I would like to see a gun show like this one.

This is no ordinary gun show. This is the S.H.O.T. Show.(Shooting Hunting and Outdoors Trade Show) It is the once a year trade show for the gun and shooting and outdoor industry.

I'm honestly not sure if just anyone can go. Maybe someone else know the answer to that question.

I'm 99% sure you have to be invited. This show is for invitees in the firearms industry only, I believe.

I noticed the top right picture showed a booth wrapped with British flags. WTH are they doing there, trying to convince people that guns are bad and should be banned? That Beretta with the diamond grips was pretty sweet, but I bet it cost a fortune. The front ejection on the Kel-Tec looks interesting, but could create a major problem. If a round gets stuck in there, your weapon would be useless.

If you click on the 3rd pic of the diamond encrusted Beretta you will notice the price on the sheet of paper listed as $360,950 for the gun.

And for the record, the only thing that looks any different at all from a run of the mill 92, is the diamond encrusted grips. I don't get it. What's the point?

Dang, that is just slightly out of my price range.
I guess they are trying to follow the lead of Victoria's Secret's $1,000,000 diamond bra.

You may want to check out SIG's web site, they already have conversion kits out for at least 2 "P" models. Just can't remember which..... Think it was the 220 and 226, but don't hold me to that.

To get in at the shot shows you must be a dealer, have a TV show, or be a writer for one of the magazines. I went to one in Dallas many years ago, and was turned away at the door. Public not invited!

    S.H.O.T.

Dealers and industry only, credentials in advance. If you are a regular at a local Gun Shop, perhaps they can get you in. We took some of our better customers that were interested. Can't wait for 2009!

Bring comfortable shoes, bring a backpack or big briefcase (some folks had shopping carts!) Bring a good camera, you'll meet all the famous people from the industry, pro shooters, etc. I walked for hours and never saw it all. My backpack was bulging with freebies, made tons of great contacts.

By the way, the signs said no guns allowed, bags subject to search. No searches, no bag checks, and security was not really all that tight. (all the back doors were propped open for the smokers, anybody could have walked in). None of the guns on display are real or functional. Required to be non-functional and all were tagged.

Very cool pics and info. Thanks. Any pics of the new Glock G20SF and G29SF? Are they coming out using the new 4th Generation frame?
