Went to the scene of a ND the other night...

Just a reminder about the importance of the rules....

It seems as if every year around Christmas we have at least one shooting, this year is no exception. The only difference is this year it was a ND with a meat head cleaning a Hi Point.

The "victim" was cleaning the gun with baby oil and qtips when he shot himself in the leg. The 45 passed through his leg and skipped off the concrete floor landing in another room. Blood loss was pretty impressive too, he defiantly ruined the new carpet.I wish I was allowed to post the pictures, it really drives home the point of this thread.

Anyway, Just a reminder that guns a a serious business, clean your gun properly and don't shoot yourself in the process.

Baby Oil and Q-tips huh? Wonder if that works.

Another unit on base had an ND with Ma Deuce a little ways back, thankfully she was pointed in a safe direction.

I am still trying to figure out how one cleans a gun loaded. I guess if it is not a full cleaning but a surface cleaning, maybe.

Yes, it was all over it and dripping out of the chamber. It was comical how much was there. The property room smells like baby oil now.

Well I guess it makes sense, after all the gun was his "baby"!

So did he at least have excessive alcohol in his system or any other chemical "excuse"? You know his buddies are going to ask what happenned. I imagine they would be much more sympathetic to him if he and Jim Beam were cleaning the gun than if he was stone sober and had to explain about baby oil all over his hands......

Nope, no evidence of alcohol or drugs. (I'm suprised myself)

I'm happy I took another HiPoint off the streets too. This kid was a criminal, I've had plenty of dealings with him in the past.
