    Smile New SKS! With pics

Well I did it. I went and picked up my SKS. He had set one aside but when I saw it it was a little grungy looking I changed my mind. It looked like it had been dipped in sap and rolled in sawdust. So I looked at a few others he had and found a NICE looking Norinco (Chinese) SKS sitting behind all the rest He was asking $350 for it. Got another case of ammo and a few stripper clips while I was there too. Enjoy the pics.

Nice wood grain on the butt and a real scary looking bayonet. Good find!
    Thanks for the pics.

    That bayonet was expensive!
I didn't realize how much they had gone up. I bought one around '90 for $89. I still have the thing and it's a hoot.

You're going to enjoy it, have fun.

Hey...I have one of those...only mine is a Yugo...not a para. I got a wild hair a few years back...refinished the stock myself, put in a competiton trigger and added an adjustable rear peep sight.

I am ashambed to say...I never have fired it. I have so many weapons...and when I purchased my my M1 Garand from author Jim Thompson, I just don't have time to just go plinking.

Anybody from Washington State want to purchase it? I'll let it go very cheap...let me know...also, I have boxes and boxes of 7.62 x 39 ammo (nicely produced Cheeta...Zimbabwe Defense Industries) to go along with it.
It all comes down to going down the dark holes after monsters. That’s what it’s all about; when everyone else is huddled around the campfire, somebody has to go out and fight.

Interesting looking rifle...I know very little about these weapons beyond the Chinese model being designed after the Russian version, I think. Thus, I do not understand all the excitement of owning one, but that's probably just me.
Good luck with your new toy.

It's a "red rifle" I don't know, just something nifty about owning a communist rifle. I'm becoming more and more interested in owning vintage and modern military firearms. This is one I really wanted to get my hands on, so I did.

My father in law owns an M1 Garand he plans on handing down to me at some point, and I am also looking at getting the Lee Enfield SMLE and a Mosin-Nagant M91/30 in the near future.
