Why would you want to do it? If you have a problem with a Springer just give the folks a call and send it back for a prompt and FREE fix.

For a while Para was, (I don't know if they still are) retrofitting older Paras with the the new PXT extractor, so technically you could have it done by a smith, but it's not as easy as just inserting the new extractor.
Is there any particular reason you want to do this?
If you feel you need a better extractor, I would look into EGW'S HEAVY DUTY Extractor , you really don't need, nor want, "extra" moving parts in an extractor.

the springfield is my first pistol but i was looking at the para-ordnance first just because of their pxt that's why i came up with this absurd question. thank you for your prompt replies.
does anybody knows the minimum gr. you could put on a .45 that is competition legal on a single stack division?
