    Thanks Bud.

Yeah, the octagon trapper is a sweet handling little thing, believe it or not.

    The end of Winchester?

I saw this in our local newspaper yesterday. Really a sad day if they go under. What's the USA without Winchester? I'm glad I have one.

Much to my surprise the Washington Post published a LONG story about the factory closing in today's Style section. I'd have posted the link, but registration is required.

What surprised me most is that the story was written as an appreciation of the Winchester weapons especially the model '73 and the Model 94. Made me want to go pull mine out and pet it like a pet.

Anyone who is really interested in seeing the article go to http://www.washingtonpost.com/ and look down the page under style. The story is called "Out With a Bang" on the main page today.

That is a wonderful tribute to Winchester!

Mr. Hunter overlooked the Model 1876.

Just heard about this on Glenn Beck. Not sure how I missed the thread. This is the Winchester for sale link.
