    I think that even if the military switches up to another caliber, the 5.56 will always be available.

    I like my flattop. Easier to mount irons, scopes, dots. S&W may sell some, but I feel with the market flooded with good brand AR's already, S&W better get a contract to build em to increase marketability. Kinda like Rock River did. They always made good AR's ,but once they got the DEA contract, it seemed more folks wanted that brand.

    On that note, the criticisms I see here could all be levied at any AR15 maker.
