Thanks for the photos! Yep, my Defender safety does exactly the same thing - and it does feel sloppy. I just left it though, it's my carry gun and it works. That grip is awful. Shouldn't have made it on a gun at all....
Bruce has a good point about the sharp edges, might feel around on the gun and see if anything would cut you. The Defender got about an hour with a little stone, some of the edges were like a knife.
I sure do like the blue guns. Carry one a couple years and it looks like it should - used and reliable.

QKShooter, glad to hear more good things about the Gold Dots. I wish they were a bit easier to find, I had to special order these through my employer. I ordered some Hornady TAP rounds to try as well. I've got to put some more FMJ downrange before I try the JHPs.

Bruce, you're killing me man! Get on the horn and tell Gary to hurry up, I want my handshake and secret codeword dangit (JK Gary). The trigger really doesn't bother me, at least not cosmetically. It could break about four lbs. lighter with a whole lot less travel and I wouldn't complain, but cosmetically I like it. I prefer the traditional look (nothing much more traditional out there than a blued Colt) so it was a no-brainer. The edges on this one aren't bad at all. I may break the edges on the hammer a bit, other than that it's very smoothly finished for a factory gun.
