Just got back from road trip.

The training is for my wife. She is afraid to fly, needed to see my mom since she is 86 and wanted to see me and the kids before she dies. Well, I drove from Phoenix to Del Ray Beach, Florida. She hated sitting in a car for over 36 hours.

She is now convinced to take a class to get over her fear of flying

Keep buying ammo once a week. Keep shooting at least once every two weeks. Have a better outlook on society. I know better than to quit smoking, or becoming a nicer person. I set goals that can be obtained. ;)

I don't make resolutions, I just LIVE from day to day. I would like to get an M1 Garand this year, the price keeps going up and they are getting harder to find.
The ones availabe from CMP are over $500 now.

I intend to read my Bible daily and not pass up too many sweetheart deals from my FFL guy.

I need an upper to mate up to a very nice completed lower I have in inventory.

Buy 2000 rounds of ammo for each of my rifles.

Get a Ruger revolver in .357

Put a roof on my house.

    Buy a new furnace.

If I have any money left over I may just put a ring on the little womans finger.

Hummm... My resolution is to buy a M&P 340 CT in 2009!

Maybe this year I'll actually keep my resolution?

    Gun related resolutions:

    1. Get myself a Springfield XD....maybe and XD-m if I can swing it.

    2. Get an AR-15 before they become illegal to buy.

    3. Buy several quality hi-cap 9mm pistols like the Stoger Cougar or something similar to pass on to my kids when they are old enough to own a handgun since I believe it is a possibility that these guns will not be legal to buy by the time they are old enough to own them.

    Non-gun related:

Keep lifting weights and continue to improve my body.

    2. Lose the last bit of fat that is hanging on for dear life from the 160 pounds I initially lost.

    3. Ride a total of 5,000 miles on my bicycle in 2009.

    4. Keep trying to be the best father to my kids that I can be.

Clean up my reloading bench!!!! Things will be a bit harder to find afterward, but it really is a mess.

I'm sure that the "war dept" has a few chores for me too.

I would like to take an advanced concealed carry class. It's $300 for two 8hr days plus ammo. Money is real tight with work not comming in, so hopping and praying things will get better.

    I need to lose weight.

I recently went on a flurry of firearm purchases based on our new political leadership, including an AMT longslide, a Springfield Rob Leatham TGO II, and the wife gave me a snubby 7-shot Smith 686 for Christmas. I still seriously need something from Gemini Customs and holsters from Rhome for all of the above.

I will try to do something about the weight, and will definitely do something about Gemini Customs! Rhome, if you read this, I think I need a shoulder holster for the AMT; it has a 7-inch barrel and a compensator.
