    Wal-Mart

I have been traveling over the holidays and during my travels I always wind up in Wal-mart. Noticed in three of the Four stores there were no Fire arms. I asked the people in sporting dept and was told they were not selling in certain areas and also new ones that came up. Do you think they are sneaking around with the brady bunch? This really bothers me if that is there intent, to slowly sneak away like that.

Walmart hasn't been selling firearms for years now - didn't know they still had a store that does. Ammo yes, weapons no.

I have heard on other forums that some WM's are posting signs "no weapons" in the store. I think thats geography specific. Here in Utah, only the state can make gun laws and signs mean nothing.

Also, the last time I was in a WM in Utah, they are still selling long guns. I've never seen a WM that sold handguns.

It depends on where the wallyworld is. If they can sell enough guns and gun stuff to be profitable at that location, they carry them. If not, they dont. Its as simple as that.

The stores around here all sell long guns and ammo, including the store that opened this past spring in Clinton, TN.

Only one out of my three local area Wal Marts sell firearms. Yes...they have in store firearms. I don't go there often...it's the furthest away and a traffic nightmare to get in and out.

No long guns or shotguns in the Dallas area. Still have cheap ammo, but its like was posted above...if the Walmart doesn't make money on the firearms, it doesn't make since for them to pay the extra fees for the FFL and all of the extra paperwork involved.

The ones around here still carry ammo, but no longer carry guns. They have slowly phased them out of the stores around here. As to being in cahoots with the Brady Bunch, I haven't seen a direct tie to that, but they have been known to crawl into bed with the mayor of NYC. That's where the changes in how they sale ammo has came about.
