This is part of an e-mail I got from a friend of mine. He just inherited this gun and does not want it so I was thinking of buying it but I am unsure of what it is worth.

I found these numbers on the gun: 53723 C18 & Mod 10-5"
Any help would be great, I haven't even seen the gun yet, he just told me it was mint. What do you think???

The Model 10s I've seen in good condition, in my area, $300 - $375. The Model 10 is very much worth having IMHO.
Do you mean a Model 10-5 or a Model 10 with a 5 inch barrel?
Your numbers are probably incorrect or at least incomplete.
Tell your friend to look on the bottom of the grip frame for the serial number. The SN should have a "C" pre-fix.
