"The new CLR looks like the child of a G26 and a S&W 642. If you have one of each don't put them in the same safe!"

Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Interesting. Just a little heavier than an S&W scandium frame but lighter than the 642.

Gotta say......I still like my guns to be all metal though.

It's ugly for one. And the weight is not that much of a differance between it and my 642. PLUS....it's more expensive. It has a place for sure, just not in my house.

So, will the LCR go through a recall like and SR9 and the LCP? I know, I'm grabbing for things. But, come on....2 guns recalled for the same thing?

I wonder if it will draw some people away from the LCP. Five rounds of .38Spl +p versus 6+1 rounds of .380ACP.

I'll wait until I see some reviews of it. Gunblast.com has a review up, but the videos aren't loading for me. I'm guessing his site is getting hammered.

They're a little bigger than the J frame.

    Yeah clearly it's a five shot...Just count the cylinders holes; 2x2 +1.

What would worry be is how the polymer is attached to the rest of the gun. There is something to be said for a one piece frame/grip assembly. Time will tell.

according to the outdoor channel piece on it, it also has an improved trigger (less pull to start out with, but still the same 10lb or so peak pull) and the polymer frame helps a bit with recoil. But seems like small changes in particular if the weight isn't actually that small.

I do own a S&W airweight j-frame. I don't think there is a need to make it any ligher :-). If anything: Heavier to help with recoil. If they ever come up with a "inertial compensator" to make small guns with less recoil: Now that would be something new :-)
