I've seen pics of this elsewhere. I think it actually may have five chambers, but I haven't checked the other pic to be sure.

Ruger's site had a teaser, showing a portion of the gun on their countdown banner, but they took it down a day or so ago, possibly because the revolver pictures got leaked.

There's a lot of speculation elsewhere on just what this gun is. Very likely, the frame is half-polymer, and half-aluminum. The cylinder has some interesting fluting. Some think it's chambered for .38Spl +p, and others have guessed at another .327Mag.

In the other set of pictures, you can just make out "LCR" on the barrel shroud.

    Okay, I got unlazy...

Here's another pic of the gun from a different view:

Note the Crimson Trace grips already on this gun.

Thank you for the links. When I clicked on the Ruger link it came up with an internet special for Mini-14 mags, great deal, real Ruger mags run $50-$60 dollars around here and these are only $29.95.

Pic of New Ruger Polymer Revolver Accidently Released

Ruger accidentally made some pictures of their new polymer revolver available on their website briefly today. They were gone quickly but some resourceful people over at TheFiringLine.com grabbed a copy while they were up. It's the Ruger LCR. The guess is LCR = light, compact, revolver. It looks to be chambered in 38 Special and probably is +p rated. They even have Crimson Trace grips ready to go for it. I cannot wait to see one of these. So homely it's cute and nice to see Ruger, who avoided the CCW market under Bill, changing and innovating.

It looks like a steel cylinder, polymer hammer shroud, probably a polymer grip frame, a polymer trigger assembly housing, and aluminum cylinder frame and barrel.

The new CLR looks like the child of a G26 and a S&W 642. If you have one of each don't put them in the same safe!

Can't wait to see one and hold it. Sure does look......... different? Anyway I'm interested in what they are going to go for. If they are like the LCP you won't be able to touch them for a while or will pay a premium price to do so.

Looks like two models at launch: one with a Hogue grip, and another with Crimson Trace laser grips.

Looks interesting. Outdoor Channel is supposed to have live video at 10am for this. Not sure if it's on TV or their Web site. I'm checkin' both.

An interesting design, but I'm still working on getting a hold of a S&W 642.
