    Feeling like a Moron

I went out today at the gun store and bought a Butler Creek Sling
for my bushmaster. In all of the excitement opened up the package.
Then tried to figure out how to install it on the rifle. It looked like a
monkey doing a math problem. Can some one give me a little help
on this.Generaly I am quite handy with stuff.

Depending on what you have on your gun already, you may need something like this

"Trust in God with hand on sword" -Inscription on my family's coat of arms from medieval England
    ---Carry options: G26/MTAC, PF9/MiniTuck, PPK/Pocket, USP40/OWB---
---NOTE: I am not an expert. If I ever start acting like a know-it-all, please call me on it immediately. ---

I have no idea what sling you bought for it, but it can attach one of several ways.

One point loop slings will go on the buttstock.
Two and three point slings will go on the buttstock and sling swivel

Some slings have a J hook and a sliding cam buckle. J hook goes on the buttstock sling swivel. Then the other end is laced through the forward swivel and then back through the slider.

Some use velcro, like my blackhawk 3 point. One tab goes around the swivel, then the other tabs go around the handguard. On the buttstock it can either be designed to go on the swivel, or around the buffer tube part like on an M4 stock.

    *edit*
looking at your avatar, you already have a front and rear sling swivel. The sling will go through those.

I think you got the retarded setup my buddy got where you pull a tab and it tightens it one way and loosens the othe.I like the military style and it is faster and you can take it off in seconds without needing a screwdriver and instructions

I can totally relate to that analogy, it often looks like that when I add tid-bits to my firearms as well.

You don't have to bother to learn it at first. Simply post a picture of it, any way you end up.... and shortly... someone will point out that its wrong.... and correct you.

    Peasy! :)

I understand the problem! Those invisible slings and mounts ere really tough to install.
