    Good quality 10/22 mags?

Ok, so I have a Butler Creek 25 round mag as well as the factory mag for a 10/22... After leaving some ammo in both, for a couple months, the Butler Creek causes FTFeed because it does not push the rounds at the bottom of the mag all the way up to the feed lips. And the Ruger mag just had the spring break, so it will only feed 2 rounds - the rest are "permanently" stuck in the mag.

I like to keep a mag or two loaded and handy for varmint purposes, but I can't just buy new mags every couple months. Anybody know of some good quality mags for a Ruger 10/22?

    Thanks,
    p8triot

Yes....the factory 10 rounders are excellent. Anything else is junk IMO. I have 15 factory magazines for my two 10/22's. I think you can still get them at Wal Mart. They used to be $10....not any more.

Well, I've never tried one of these but if the phrase "you get what you pay for" is completely true, these things should be fantastic.

I only use the the Butler Creek "Steel Lips" kind. They are the only ones that will feed reliably. They are $25-30 each though. One fellow on Ruger 10-22 Talk puts a small hole in the bottom of his high-cap 10-22 mags. and sprays in a small amount of silicone lubricant that he says keeps them working good. I haven't done this yet because my "Steel Lips" seem to always work. I normally store them loaded with 20 rounds in each.

Yeah, Small Arms Review ran a few thousand rounds of .22 through a Ceiner conversion FA AR. No failures that were not dud rounds, IIRC. The same company makes a polymer body, steel reinforced version for around $45, I believe.

Personal experiance i have the non alunimum TI25.
Best hi cap 10/22 mag i have used.
My 10/22 hates most aftermarket mags.
I will admit it took around a box of rem gold 550 tweaking to find the sweet spot but after that it feeds like a factory 10 now

I use and prefer the Eagle International 30 round mags, they have worked great since I have purchased them about 4 years ago. Another great feature about these mags are that they are stackable, (pins and clips molded into the mags) As with most 10/22's they are picky on the ammo, the ammo that works best with my ruger also works the best with these mags. YMMV
Give me my guns and my right to keep and bear arms, and they can keep their change.

I never had any luck with any of the plastic magazines. As far as I am concerned they are all junk.My ruger 10/22 is fussy with ammo when you compare it to my tried and trusty marlin model 60.

I could not disagree more with those who say the factory 10 rounders are great. Nothing but duds in my case. The gun runs great with Butler Creek mags. As for the stocks, I have followed the advise of numerous web pages that tell you to disassemble, clean, scrape, sand, lube, wind up beyond belief until the spring lets loose, countersink the axis screw....you name it, I have done it. I was done with these about 10 years ago.
    Never again
