Black Creek Shooting Range in Va.

Is anyone here a member of Black Creek Shooting Range in Mechanicsville Va.? I was thinking about joining and would like to know what you think of it. I visited Cavalier a couple of weeks ago and really like it, but they are to high for me and it is twice as far. Cavalier is $250 a year plus a one time initiation fee of $500, Black Creek is $100 total.

I have been a member for about five years now. Everyone I have met has been very friendly. They have a good range and they have monthly matches for 3-gun, Idpa, Cowboy Action. You can't go wrong with Black Creek. They also have weekdays only memberships for $75.00/yr if I remember correctly.

What kind of waiting period do they have to join? I know a lot of the places close to Richmond are running 1-2 year wait for membership.

They did not have a waiting period at the time I visted it, but there is a membership cap of 800 members. It had not been meet at the time I went, that was about 1 month ago.

Just call them up or go by and see KC or his son. They used to fill up by March 1, but I'm not sure about now. I let it go and shoot behind the house instead.

Went out to the Black Creek Shooting Range today and took their safety orientation. Will mail of the application and check to cover my full and the wife associate membership tomorrow. For anyone in the area interested, they still have about 40 openings left. Hope to run into you guys out there at some point.

    Talking Just called the range.....

I just called the Range listed, and they are not running another 3gun until May. They also don't have any contact info for the folks that run the matchs. Do any of you by chance? I've never shot a 3Gun, but it sounds like alot of fun. BTW i'm a brand spankin' new member, so If jumping a thread is Verboten, I apologize. Thanks
