Sig P220 in .22lr anyone?
Anyone buy one of these? I saw Budsgunshop.com was running them for $399 shipped, and it comes with a coupon for $399 you can buy from Sig the barrell and slide to make it a .45..Not bad IMO, two guns for the price of one?
Anyways, where I work is opening a firing range, so I wanted something cheap I could shoot a ton to burn lunch breaks, and a .22 is obviously the way to go. Pair that with the fact I am a Sig freak, and my Mosquito sucked so I sold it..and I think I am sold on the 220..
Thoughts?

Sounds like the way to go if you want a .45 220. I'm buying the conversion for my 229.

Sounds like a winner. If I didn't reload that might be about the only way I could afford to practice!

I think with the way ammo price and availability is going 22 conversions for handguns and rifles are gonna be selling out next.

I have a P220 .45 and love it, I also have a Mosquito and love it. What problems did you have with your mosquito? Using lower quality ammo was the only problem I ever had, once I started shooting CCI MiniMags, I haven't had a jam since.

The difference between the 220 and 229 is the frame and grip is a little wider. The 220 is a single stack as the 229 is a double stack. I dont think that there is much difference between the 220 and 226 cause most holsters will fit the two perfectly just the 226 is also a double stack

P220 is a full size .45 P226 is a full size in 9mm, 357sig or .40 s&w double stack.
P229 is compact version of P226

Why thank you. So there is probably really no negative to a 220 in .22 LR for what I am looking for?
