Of course I carry a gun, you would too if you were called "Big Gay Al."
This is a quote from a member at steyrclub.com
"I also own a GB. It's a 2nd generation model with the non-spurred hammer. It was probably one of the last made. I worked at Turner's Sporting goods in 1986 and the distributor had just stopped carrying Steyr handguns. He still had this one "demo" model that had been used once at a gun show. So I bought it.
Obviously, no need to tell you guys this is one sweet firearm. I've been through a lot of financial hard times since then and most of my other guns have been sold, but that one will be the last to go."
That's all I know, but you've peaked my interest. I may have to add another pistol to my collection. I almost bought an S9 this morning, still thinking I should have bought it.

I played with one at a gun shop about 5yrs ago. Seemed well built, that sucker is big. They had it for about $450 iirc, I thought about buying it, but didn't have the money to spare.
Someday when I have some extra cash I'll probably buy one to go with my M40 and S40.
