Wonder if they'll have local marches. I doubt I could get the time/money to go to D.C., though I would like to.

The idea was first posited per a members post at SigForum in a political related thread.
From that it as a concept has grown like wildfire, to include Nugent.

A "Million Gun Owners" march on D.C.? - SigForum

I've been monitoring that thread since the day Parabellum started it per a posited concept by member qwkdrw.

If this actually happens I will be sure to fly or drive down, with others in tow, to attend and support the effort.

There was a lot of talk about this a few months ago. I'm happy to see that it looks like it may be a go. I'll do my best to get there. It will all depend on where I'm working, and if I can get the time off. But I will definitely try to make it. I'm originally from Richmond VA, so I can go back for a visit and also do this.

It'd be neat to duplicate the event in every state capital at the same time for those who can't make the trip to DC. Can you imagine the news coverage? There's never been such a co-ordinated event that I can recall.

Nothing I say as "user" should be taken as either advertising for attorney services or legal advice. Legal questions should be presented to a competent attorney licensed to practice in the relevant state.

    User,

I will repost your idea over at SigForum with a full source citation.
You present IMHO a very good question and concept as an adjunct to this!

    Edit: Done.

I too would plan to be there. We are not far away....just up in the Philly area. I bet I could get a group to go.

The idea of marching on the State Capitols is a GREAT idea as well. I'd be in for that. Would love to see the biggest impact though for IL and WI.

It becomes a failure if no less than 1 million show up. The State Capital idea is much better.

I like the state thing. It would work good for the people that can not make a DC run but DC should be the primary. Plus we would need key speakers and things like that.

State capital is best. Central to most of Virginia, and will get attention of the people that affect us most. No doubt Washington will here about it.
