Who of you are members of the NRA?

How many of you are members of the NRA? I've been thinking of joining since I bought my gun. Just wondering what everyone thinks about their membership. Is it worth it? How long have you been a member?

I am. Have been an annual member since the late 1970s. The NRA is and has been the best deal going for protecting 2nd amendment rights so I feel I've gotten value for cost. I like the "American Rifleman" magazine. It may have been better in years gone by. It may just be that I'm an old geezer who isn't as enthused about many of the modern firearms designs reviewed these days.

Signed up on 01/20/2009 -- figured it was the best way to send a message. :)

I got back into guns a little over a year ago. Then around xmas time of 08 I joined the NRA. I dont always agree with them but in these uncertain times it is time to set aside trivial differences and unite for the cause. The fight is coming, you can count on it!! JOIN

The NRA like any large organization is not going to make everyone happy all the time. Overall they do a good job working to protect our 2nd Amendment rights. Been a member since about 85. Life member since about 88.

Yep, can't afford life, but I keep the membership up. Anyone who likes guns, especially anyone who carries, needs to be a member. All you have to do is read the thread of quotes from Bill Clinton and other liberals who believe that the 2nd amendment needs to be limited in order to get rid of guns. We need to make sure that the NRA is well funded so that they can tie up bills that would limit our right to own guns in court.
