    Glock 19

    Hello
NJ resident here looking to purchase my first 2 handguns. I just filled out the paperwork and hopefully will get them in the next 2 months. I am really interested in the Glock 19. Anyone care to offer their opinions or experiences?
Any opinions on another FUN handgun to own?

    Thanks

You will get lots of people saying they love the 19. It's a good gun and a good size. I don't think you would be dissapointed with one if you like glocks in general.

    I have a G-26 and a G-19; most reliable pistols I have owned.
The G-26 is easier to carry and you can put the G-19 barrel in it and have the same ballistics.
    Check this thread:

Easy to maintain, fun to shoot BUT as for any gun, TRY before you buy !!!

I have a Glock 26 and am planning on buying a Glock 19 with my tax refund. The Glock family of guns are highly reliable. Highly recommended!

My Glock 19 has become my favorite pistol.

It's as pretty as a flat tire and as reliable as Old Faithful.

I think I need another one!!

Of course, a good 45acp 1911 is also a fun pistol to have.

it is a great solid pistol. Even if you don't like it, you can sell it after 6 months and get most of your money back.

retail $500-550, used $350 (abused) to 450 (clean)

it is pretty hard to abuse them too!

If I remember correctly awhile back this forum rated the G19 #1 if they only had one gun for CC. If I'm wrong about this I'll just blame it on my age. You can't go wrong.
Good luck finding one. I understand most gun shops are out of them at this time.

The Glock 19 seems to be the quintessential defensive carry handgun, and for good reason. It covers all bases well.

I live in NJ also. Shop around when buying your 19. I bought mine about 3 years ago, and called several shops. I had price swings ranging from a couple of dollars to 100+.

My carry gun, my wife's carry gun plus a spare in the safe. Guess that says what I think about the G19.
