Shooting sim in Singapore
When I was in Singapore, my friend took me to the “Discovery Centre” a sort of a History museum, science museum and propaganda theatre to prepare young Singaporeans for their national service. Part of the display is a firearm simulator using either air powered Sig 226 or the SAF-21, the range is about 15m long with a screen and likely a sensor pad behind it or built in. The instructor selects terrain from a computer map and then adds the threat level. In this case terrain was open the threat was lots of soldiers running and shooting towards you. Very simple scenario to let people try it out. I suspect it can be much harder. At the end of the shoot the instructor can assess each shooters scores, ranging from time to shoot target, to numbers of misses to the type of hits and times. This type of training makes perfect sense in Singapore where space is limited and they have a lot of recruits to train. Here are some pictures.
