Go for the 454, the recoil isn't that bad from what I remember, you can shoot .45 long colt to practice with and save the full power 454 for the woods.

Alaska and .44 Mag, just seems like a natural selection to me.

Depends on where you go camping.

I check the 44 mag because I have a Ruger Blackhawk 44 mag, that I use as my BBQ and camping gun, and it rides in a custom cross draw holster.

Ive shot 200 lbs wild boars, and when I do my part the 44 mag takes them out quick. And I figure even a bear would prefer to leave you alone should you pop him a couple times with one.

But, I say it depends on where you go camping. If your headed to Fort Wilderness in Disney, Id say you already have the right guns, and you should buy more ammo.

I used to have a Redhawk, only gun I bought when I was married to a certian women who decided she must have it in the divorce. I bet it hasn't been fired in the last 13 years.

I replaced it with a Colt "Outlaw Annie" was in town and I could not resist.

It is not on your list but I would go with a saiga 12. Get some 10 or 12 round mags and some ammo. Or if you must stick to your list the 20SF sounds like a good choice. Also you say you don't have much ammo? Some peoples idea of no ammo is anything less then 10,000 rounds. I personally think you should try to have at bare minimum 1000 rounds for any rifles and 500 for any pistols. If you are no where near those numbers you may seriously think about buying ammo instead of a new gun. Remember if/when the SHTF your guns will do no good without ammo.

I've been looking at the 870 a lot lately. I think I'm going to pick one up. I voted for it :)

A shotgun seems to be the biggest gap in your collection right now. As for me, there's no such thing as to much ammo! Now if I could only find some.....
