Nah..they had at least another 200 boxes of 100 rounds (Winchester).

    I only bought 15 boxes.

They sell out quick. Not many places here sell handgun ammo.

No worries...I figured that. It's almost as bad here as it is in Florida to buy ammo.

i know when i took my neighbor shooting on tuesday he went shopping for ammo either sunday or monday (can't remember which) and couldn't find ammo at any of the 3 wally worlds he went to. Granted one doesn't even sell firearms or ammo which i neglected to tell him beforehand but the other two were out of 9mm. i'm surprised he even found .45 acp rounds. wolf ammo but my guns eat anything factory from what i've used so if it works and its in stock use it

Ammo is not plentiful at retail stores but there are plenty of places online guys. It is just as cost effective!!

The Bass Pro at Katy Mills was stocking their shelves yesterday when I was in there. I'd say the shelves were about 40% full but what they had was sort of hit or miss. The lady there said that everything they had as far as handgun ammo was on the shelves. They didn't get enough to keep any in the back room. They had three boxes of Winchester SXZ practice ammo in 9mm and in .45 but none in .40 and none of the personal protection load. They did have WWB defense load in .38 special.

Its a shame that the presence of 9x19mm ammunition at a store is something worthy of a post. It wasn't that long ago that it was selling for ~$10/100 at ChicomMart (Wally World) and it was about as hard to find as a pervert at a Miley Cyrus concert.

I haven't experienced the shortage myself first hand, when I need ammo I assemble it myself. I had plenty of powder and primers when this all started. I still have plenty of powder but I am getting to the point that I need primers. I have noticed they are more expensive and harder to find than in the past, but its still much cheaper than buying factory ammo.

I totally forgot about Bass Pro Shops. There's a BPS here in Las Vegas. I'll stop in there this weekend. I pass this place each day when I drive to work. It never even occurred to me to check there for ammunition.

Tell me about it L...I stopped by the WW just south of here (over the border into MS) and asked them about 9mm ammo. They laughed and said the hadn't had any in over 6 months and can't get any.

Let me know how much they charge there in Vegas, P. The box of 115 grain target rounds run $12.95 for 50 and $21.95 for 100.
