Other than a safe, how do you lock your long guns?

Unfortunately, I can not quite afford a good quality safe at this time.

I have my long guns in a wooden gun cabinet. In case of a burgulary, I am screwed.

I am planning to buy a good quality cable and lock. Run the cable through the trigger guards and lock them all together.

I know this is only a deterant, but it's better than nothing. A burglar with no bolt cutters would have to carry all 9 guns out together.

Any other suggestions from those that have no safe?

For some reason, I don't think I want to post how I do it on a public site !!!
    Maybe it is paranoid ?
The first rule of a gunfight: "Don't be there !"
The second rule: "Bring enough gun"

I did a search and found stuff about locking in a car, trigger locks, etc. I did not find anything on long guns, but I'll do some search refining.
