Fired two magazines through it into the trap, flawless. Accuracy was typically Sig frightening, trigger is extremely crisp with no letup and was the best in the bunch of three we received.
It was also the only Nitron-finished GSR we got in, and with no rail to boot. Comes standard with a pair of Novak mags and Novak night sights from the factory, and unlike the last few higher-end 1911s we've handled at the shop, it actually worked out of the box. ;0

What a rave review, " it actually worked out of the box.". Don't know if I would want to own a gun that you had to mention it working.
Hope ya enjoy your Sig GSR.

Well, a 1911 working out of the box seems to be a hit or miss thing.
So far I'm 3 for 3 in my travels, but from what I see in some customer's guns and online, I should be buying lottery tickets.
I wasn't worried per se about making it work since Sig actually fixes the rare problems that come up with their stuff.

Wish I could do that! Looks nice, when it first came out I drooled over it!

Congrats! Nice Carry Gun...
Needs Ivory Grips & a standard thumb safety.
Aside from that I really like it.
BTW that is a SUPER finish.

Indeed - really nice finish - beautiful piece Robert.
I could also (almost) suffer a total 1911 conversion

I like it. I want one, I actually just read a review online about them, all the edges are rounded. looks like it would be a great carry gun. Happy shooting.

I couldn't find a sharp edge on the inside of the frame. Wish they'd done this treatment to my 226s - it's a shame it's not carry gun for me but I want more oomph. ;0
