WTS AK 47 SAR 1 Romanian 7.62x39 - Glock Talk
Ive been in contact with the seller and have my $$ and ffl ready to go, Ive agreed to buy the gun and am waiting for him to send me more pictures of the gun.
In the full picture, the end of the barrel, about the last 8 inches look weird and off colored to me. whats up with the front half of the barrel? the other thing that concerns me is the orange/ redish color at the bottom of the bolt in the receiver.
take a look at the pics and let me know if Im just seeing things or if these are things to or not to worry about. Ill post the new pics when I get em.
MORE PICS ADDED IN POST 12

To me it looks like something was clamped onto the barrel (maybe a light?) and preserved the finish in that area. The discoloration you are talking about on the barrel appears to go from the end of the barrel, back to an area where the finish appears fine, and then the finish between that area and the hand guard appears more worn (just like the end of the barrel).
Also keep in mind that small details get brought out and over emphasized in photos. Go clean one of your pristine condition guns as well as you can, then take a photo of it. 9 times out of 10 you'll see fuzz, lint, scratches, specs of dirt and all manner of things you hadn't noticed with the naked eye.

Perhaps it is the photo but the barrel looks bent.

I think that is just the way the cleaning rod is clamped in place that gives that illusion.
I'm not seeing anything that looks like a problem on your rifle. As a matter of fact it looks to be in great condition. Congrats on your purchase.
The only problem you will have is feeding it. They have a voracious appetite.

Nope...The Barrel - It's Not Bent
It's the cheapo camera distortion.
Know how I can tell?
Look at the line of the pool table bumper above the firearm.
It looks really curved also and pool tables are never bent.

BTW: Condition looks good AKA Typical.
As much as I can tell by looking at the pics I don't really see anything wrong.

A 9mm might expand but a .45 will never shrink enough to fit 17 in the magazine.

After thinking about it I believe there is a problem with your rifle; can't quite put my finger on it tho! Why don't you send it to me and I'll work on figuring out what the problem is and send it back in a few years?

Looks fine to me. Not sure if I would personally pay $650 for one, but I don't know the AK market and guns at all - if you thought $650 was a fair price for this model of gun in new condition, I think you get it.

The price is too high. Look here and be quick if you want one.
Classic Arms Inc.
Aks for $500. I like the package deal for $549. Get em fast.
