Two "assault weapons"...
Okay guys... since it looks like today, Eric Holder threw down the gauntlet on Assault Weapons and indicated that the process to re-enact the ban is about to start -- I have a question.
You can buy two so-called Assault Weapons (e.g., guns that will be covered by the ban)... Money no object. Which two do you buy?
And yes, I'm going to do just that.
The facts are indisputable. There is more data supporting the benefits of Conceal Carry than there is supporting global warming. If you choose ignorance, in light of all the evidence, in order to bolster your irrational fear of guns, you are a greater threat to society than any gun owner.

I am good for now. Spare money goes to reloading supplies.
*edit: On the other hand, one can never have too many normal capacity magazines. Those are "assault weapons", right?

Yeah... but I'm digging for recommendations here.

I'll make this easy for you:
LTM AR-15 piston gun, $2000:
Lewis Machine & Tool Company :: www.lewismachine.net
IMI Galil. Not sure how much the legit Israel made ones are, but they are not cheap. Ask Betty where to find one.
IMI Galil - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If you have a lot of money to burn:
Barratt 82A1 or similar $8900:
Barrett Rifles
Those represent the best AR, best AK and an a** kicking 50 BMG. What more could you want? (other then 50 magazines, eotech's, aimpoints, leupold, and about 100,000 rounds or ammo...)
Please send one of the above rifles to my local FFL as a finders fee for ya'
thanks...

Got to agree with HotGuns, AR and AK. Plus all the hi-cap magazines you can get your hands on.

Holder thinks that shutting off our access will stem the flow of small arms into Mexico. Is he retarded? Maybe someone should give him a quickie geography lesson to apprise him of the fact that below Mexico is a little slice of lawless hell called Central America, and below that, South America. No chance of small arms getting into Mexico from there right?

Romanian PSL
SKS that takes the AK mags or an AK (IMO the SKS uses less gas to operate - more energy to the bullet)
What are your intentions. Get them to have them, or do you have any particular use in mind (target shooting, competitive, SHTF, status...)

That's just the convenient excuse. They wanted to do this long before the issues in Mexico. They're just being politically expedient.

Target shooting, SHTF... and its a pure, unadulterated, unmitigated protest purchase. I want my legislators to know that there mere threat of them passing this means "more black guns in the hands of the people".
