Any info on the weapon instructor that got arrested for self defense?

Wish I could remember the details, read about it outside DC.com, haven't seen it talked about here. Somewhere in Arizona. Phoenix?

His wife was being verbally attacked so he intervened, got beat down, then shot his attacker. City's anti-gun DA trying to crucify him. No bail.

Where do you think Harold Fish was convicted? Yeah it's a "gun friendly" state until you have to use your gun. Then, it's adios, you're going to jail.

I was raised there and try to stay abreast of what's going on in that state.

Interesting. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm going to try and follow the trial as well as I can from up here.

Facts of case not all bad...

I followed the link and read the brief description of what happened. Evidently he was knocked to the ground by 2 or 3 attackers when trying to enter his own house. So they had trespassed on his property and attacked him first. With 2 or 3 to 1 there is a great disparity of force, and the attackers could easily injure or kill him on the ground before he could get up. He may have had good reason to fear for his life. He may well be acquitted in the trial, I think.

There should be no need for a trial. Self-defense, is self-defense.

+1, but politics play an important part also, but sadly too.. I truly hope the charges are not held on this man for defending himself, and his loved ones and property on top of that.

ok, so why is the news story saying this was over some kids and stuff like that? it doesn't say anything about a house, or such...

They bailed him out a while ago, his wife took out loans, and received donations towards the $100,000 bail.. He can't talk about the case, and it will go to trial.
