They seem to be good pistols.

I Like Taurus and never had a problem with the ones I own (2 pistols and 1 revolver)

They only bad thing about them is the customer service if you do have a problem. They will fix the problem but it takes a while and you have no feed back from them once they recieve your firearm.

A friend has a 24/7 pro .40 and likes it, but he loves my Sig P220 .45

I own and happily carry/shoot a PT24/7 Pro DS duotone in .40 S&W. It is accurate and easy to reacquire the target with.
Close to 1000 rounds through it of all types, and zero issues.

    I just picked up a 24/7 in 9mm.
Only a few rounds through it so far, and as long as it eats a few more boxes without a problem I'm going to like this gun.

I have had my 24/7 Pro DS, 9mm, for about 5 months now, and have had no issues with it. It eats well, shoots well and carries well. The 369 is a little more than I paid or a stainless one.

Which sights does the one your looking for have? The Heinie (2 dots, one front and one back) or the Novack (3 dots, one front and 2 back). Some people have trouble with the Heinie. I have them on my PT111 and have not had any trouble adjusting to them.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

I have two Taurus guns. 1911 and revolver and they both haven't missed a beat yet. Sounds like a fair price also.

I have a PT 24/7 Pro 9mm that was an impulse buy at a recent gun show. I am really surprised how much I like this gun. Have almost 350 rounds through it. Very accurate, easy to shoot, and after the first two mags totally reliable.

I bought the wife one for her CCW gun in 9, and she likes it but with Taurus if it works you are good to go, but if not.... their service center is horrific.

One other down side to Taurus guns and I have 4 of them, is the lack of aftermarket accessories, Laser grips, tritium sights, seems they make their stuff just a little different.

For his 21st birthday I bought My son a PT1911 (don't blame me he picked it out) that went back 4 times and spent over 28 weeks in their hands. They paid for home pick up, but despite their promise of "well put a rush on it and it should be back in a couple of weeks" they never did, and it was there over 7 weeks each time.

So do I like their guns, yes, but just be very careful when buying a NIB.

I also echo Sheldon J about the customer service. I have posted here about my riduclous customer service experience with a PT 24/7 .45 that I had (emphasize HAD). Do a search and you will see

    I just bought a Taurus 1911 and a 24/7 (.45).
I have shot the 1911 - and so far - so good.
Haven't shot the 24/7 yet - next Saturday....so can't comment much on it till then! But, looking forward to it!

I have a Taurus 24/7 Pro "OSS" .40S&W (called "Tactical" here in Brazil). After 1.300 rounds, 12 issues for ammo reloaded with problems. 200 original ammo without issues. Accurate and well controled in reacquire the target. But I can't find a tritium sight, even in USA, through internet. Somebody can help me?
