    Houston gun ranges

Where in Houston do you go to shoot? I would like for me and my GF to shoot every month so we can build confidence. I definately don't enjoy paying $15 each. Her .32 ammo costs about 27 here at topgunhouston and I can't find it elsewhere. Any other good place to shoot?

Indoor you can also check out Memorial Shooting Center and Shiloh

Outdoor, consider getting a membership at one of the following:

    American Shooting Center (West Houston)
    PSC (Friendswood)
    Impact Zone (Brookshire)
    XD9 Service
    Bersa 380 Thunder
    Taurus 605
    ...a few others

Hotwells, off of 290 is $7:50 a gun.
Carters Country, another outdoor is a little more per gun...$8 something, if I remenber right.

I don't recall the rates for American Shooting Center but they are posted on their web site. You can also buy an annual membership and skip the hourly stuff. I believe there is also an indoor place on Fondren but I can't remember their name.

One thing I don't like about A.S.C. is that they charge by the gun also. The places I used to go in Maryland it was a flat hourly rate for the lane. I could shoot as many pistols as I wanted. Here, if I just want to rotate my carry ammo down range I have to either do all the 9mm through one pistol or pay through the nose!

+1 on Memorial Shooting Center. I enjoy that facility, friendly staff.. and usually cheaper ammo than I can find in town, when its in stock.

Marksman shooting range in the city of South Houston, think it's like $8 . Been a while, don't know the specifics.

PSC and Impact Zone are member only ranges, so you'd have to buy an annual membership.

PSC is about $200 yr and Impact Zone is $250 (I think those are right).

As already stated ASC is a per gun range and does offer annual memberships as well for around $300.

South side of Houston would be Bailey's House of Guns (near 288 and the Beltway and its outdoor) or PSC like Lumberjack said. I live near the coast so I've been to Greenwood Gun Club in Brazoria. I am fortunate enuff that I can do my handgun shooting in my backyard.

I've never been to Memorial but heard lots of good things about it. Plus they offer the CHL course.
